When you create an account (via Clerk, our authentication provider), we receive your name and email address. When you use ResumeAI, we store the resume content you upload or manually enter (skills, work history, certifications), the job description text you provide, and the analysis results we generate (match score, rewritten resume, cover letter, interview questions, and learning roadmap). This data is tied to your account so you can access it later from the History section.

We also collect basic usage data (like page visit timing) through Vercel Analytics, which operates cookie-free and anonymized by default.

Your resume and job description text is sent to the Google Gemini API (Google's AI service) to generate your analysis. This content is used solely to process your request. We never sell your data or rent it to third parties for advertising purposes.

Each analysis result is saved to your account so you can revisit it later or delete it from the History section. If you submit a very similar analysis (same or near-identical resume and job posting), you may be shown a previously cached result to avoid unnecessary AI calls.

To operate ResumeAI, we rely on the following third-party services, each with its own independent privacy policy:

• Clerk — authentication and account management • Google Gemini API — AI processing of resume and job description content • Google reCAPTCHA — bot detection during sign-up and login • Neon (PostgreSQL) — database hosting • Vercel — frontend hosting and analytics • imgbb — blog article image hosting (used only by site administrators, not for user resume data)

Using these services may involve transferring data to servers outside your country of residence, including the United States.

Your resume, job description, and analysis results are retained until you delete them from the History section or close your account. Deleting an analysis from your history permanently removes that record from our database.

You may access your saved analyses at any time, delete them, or contact us to fully delete your account. If you reside in the European Union, you have rights under GDPR to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, and port your data. ResumeAI is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under this age.

This policy may be updated from time to time. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page. Your continued use of ResumeAI after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
